Postmatch Press Conference | Pat Noonan | 9/12/26

FC Cincinnati Head Coach Pat Noonan discusses the club’s 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer action at TQL Stadium.

Noonan reflects on a frustrating result after what he viewed as a largely strong performance, pointing to defensive lapses, missed tackles, unnecessary fouls, and poor game management in key moments that allowed Charlotte FC to score three goals. He explains why the team felt it dropped points despite finding the net three times and creating dangerous opportunities throughout the match.

The conversation also covers FC Cincinnati’s attacking play, with Noonan emphasizing the need for more decisive movement and execution in the final third. He discusses Kevin Denkey’s two-goal performance after a lengthy scoreless stretch, the importance of creating better service in wide areas, and how the team can generate more chances for its striker.

Additionally, Noonan praises Nick Hagglund’s leadership after stepping into the lineup amid midfield absences and highlights Miles Robinson’s defensive work limiting Charlotte FC attacker Allan Saint-Maximin.
