On the @aravaiparunning live coverage feed of the @blackcanyonultras 100km a commentator mentioned that I “seemed like a Dork”!…well you know what, “Connor”? That is Absolutely 100% CORRECT! ✅ I am big Dork! I was literally a Band GEEK 🎶during most of school and was even voted Class NERD (Valedictorian) 🎓too 🤓! Ever since I was a young child I figured out that pretty much nothing in my life was going to be very “normal” or “average.” I wanted to be exceptional in academics and athletics. I wanted/want to do most things differently: I became a Runner. I am an Athlete. But it’s not about trying to “fit in a box” or “look cool” or please the expectations of others and society and the algorithms on social media. So keep being your “weird self.” Be an artist 🎨🎭. Be creative. Be original and find what resonates with you in life. I think we need more of that in this world instead of a bunch of cookie-cutter humans. Don’t stop having fun as you age. That’s my motto! 😜
