Amari Williams' journey from Nottingham to New England brought out the best in his game πͺ
Basketball
When made Amari Williams made the move from Nottingham, UK to college basketball at Drexel and Kentucky, it was his first real opportunity to show he could compete at the highest level of hoops.
What started as a challenging summer learning the ways of a Celtics center, Amari is growing more and more comfortable in his abilities and how he can impact a game. That includes several double-doubles in the G League and clutch plays in his stints in Boston to help deliver W's.
After a childhood of following his brother's footsteps in soccer, he shifted his focus to basketball and discovered his true potential as an NBA big. Now shuttling between Boston and Maine, Amari enjoys the simple similarities between here and home, like cold, snowy winters turning into hot and sunny summers.
