Scott Satterfield on Future of Cincinnati Rivalry with Miami #Bearcats

Cincinnati head coach Scott Satterfield was noncommittal about the future of the Victory Bell rivalry following the Bearcats’ 35-31 comeback win over Miami.

“I don’t have a whole lot of control over that,” Satterfield said. “I just play the ones they tell us to play.”

Satterfield acknowledged the rivalry’s historic significance but said the changing landscape of college football has made scheduling a MAC opponent more difficult.

Cincinnati and Miami will not meet next season and currently have no future games scheduled. Saturday marked the 129th meeting between the programs, with the Bearcats taking a 62-60-7 lead in the all-time series.
