In South Bend, it was a heavyweight matchup between the No. 24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the No. 11 Southern California Trojans that lived up to expectations as it was a back-and-forth battle throughout and came down to the wire. With less than 2 seconds remaining, Notre Dame superstar Hannah Hidalgo hit a pull-up jumper to break a 59-59 tie and give the Fighting Irish a come-from-behind 61-59 win. Hidalgo scored a game-high 22 points on 8-18 shooting to go along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals in the win. Vanessa De Jesus added 13 points and KK Bransford chipped in 11 points for the Irish, while Kara Dunn led the Trojans with 21 points in a losing effort.
