Terry Francona Admits: “I Didn’t Actually Think They’d Pinch-Hit” #Reds

In the Cincinnati Reds’ 8-4 loss to the Miami Marlins, Terry Francona admitted after the game, “I didn’t actually think they’d pinch-hit.”

Francona brought in left-hander Sam Moll to face left-handed hitter Jacob Marsee, who was 4-for-4. However, Marlins manager Clayton McCullough countered with right-handed hitter Agustín Ramírez, who drew a walk.

Miami went on to score three more runs with Moll on the mound, taking advantage of the unfavorable matchups to blow the game open.
