For any NBA team looking for a defensive-minded center, Virginia's Ugonna Onyenso is one to take a close look at. While he came off the bench for Virginia and only played 18 minutes per game, the senior big man made a name for himself during the 2026 ACC Tournament. He set an ACC Men's Basketball Tournament record with nine blocks against Duke in the 2026 championship game, and totalled 21 blocks in three games during the Cavaliers' ACC Tournament run. For the season, he averaged an ACC-high 2.9 blocks per game and had a 17.4 block percentage (the percent of 2-point shots that he blocks while on the floor). He only averaged 6.5 points per game, but he can clean the offensive glass, and during his lone year with UVA he showed the ability to stretch the floor and make the occasional 3-pointer. A competent defender with the potential to become a stretch big will make him an intriguing project for some team. Take a look at the 2026 NBA Draft Tape for Virginia center Ugonna Onyenso.
