Team Before Self: Valkyries Franchise-Record 9-Game Win Streak

Nine games. Nine wins. Franchise history.

These soundbites from Coach Nakase tell the story of how we got here — not through one big moment, but through a mentality built since day one of training camp. Team over self. Strength in numbers. All 14 players bought in, nobody caring who starts, nobody looking for individual credit.

Defensively we’ve been relentless — pressuring the ball, closing gaps, holding teams in the paint, and communicating better each quarter of every game. Coach said it herself: defense is effort and it’s mental, and this group has made it their identity.

Offensively we’ve learned how to find the hot hand and trust each other to make the right read. Kia, Gabby, B hitting big threes down the stretch. Jaw and Kaitlyn Chen building real synergy. Kai, Tip, and LA maintaining space. Collective effort, every single night.

Nine straight wins. Longest in franchise history. And Coach Nakase says we’re just getting more connected.
