Wake Forest vs. Purdue Game Preview | 2026 ACC Football

The Demon Deacons will head to Purdue this weekend to take on the Boilermakers in an ACC Big Ten clash. This will be their sixth overall meeting with Purdue leading the series 4-1 The Demon Deacons come off of a 38-16 victory over Akron in which QB Gio Lopez made his debut. Lopez impressed in the opener completing 66% of his throws for 350 yards and 3 scores. Receiver Carlos Hernandez was his top target racking up 165 yards on 5 catches with a score. Wake Forest has 27 wins over Big Ten teams in their history. Purdue Head Coach Barry Odom commands a Purdue team that earned a 44-19 victory over Indiana St. They generated 523 yards of total offense and were 6 for 6 in the red zone.
