Nick Wright of FOX Sports made a bold prediction about the Cincinnati Bengals’ future this week: if the Bengals miss the playoffs this season, he believes Zac Taylor will be fired and Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni will become Cincinnati’s next head coach.
Wright said he doesn’t think the Bengals would want to gamble on another first-time head coach with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins all in their primes. Instead, he believes they’d pursue an established coach with championship experience, predicting Sirianni would be the choice if he becomes available after the season.
