Can the Texans Swarm Herbert? Lorenzo Neal Previews Sunday

Seth Payne welcomes Bleav in Chargers co-host and four-time Pro Bowl fullback Lorenzo Neal to preview Texans-Chargers, a matchup of two preseason contenders now stuck near the bottom of the AFC. Lorenzo says Justin Herbert looks like “a prizefighter past his prime” in Mike McDaniel’s zone scheme. He argues Jim Harbaugh has drifted from his physical, downhill identity and predicts a simpler, man-blocking approach built around Omarion Hampton. Seth points to the Texans’ weaknesses in short-yardage run defense and tackling. Lorenzo defends DeMeco Ryans’ back-to-basics tackling drills that drew fan criticism this week. The two also swap stories about LaDainian Tomlinson. Lorenzo explains how his All-American wrestling career built the leverage that powered his 16 NFL seasons.
