Matthew Brennan & Wout van Aert Untouchable Again In Vuelta a España 2026 Stage 16

For most of Stage 16 of the Vuelta a España 2026, it was very clear that Team Visma | Lease a Bike was in control, and the day was about delivering breakthrough rider Matthew Brennan for another victory.

Brennan was led out by Wout van Aert and won easily ahead of Bryan Coquard.

The win was the fourth of this year’s Vuelta for Brennan and makes him the first rider since Colombian sprinter Fernando Gaviria in 2017 to win four stages in his debut Grand Tour. Gaviria’s wins came in the Giro d’Italia.
