Behind the Shield Ep. 1: Inside the U.S. Men's U20 Selection Camp | 2025 World Championship

In June 2025, the U.S. Men’s U20 National Team gathered in Sparks, Maryland for its final selection camp, the last step in a multi-year process to choose the 22 players who would represent the United States at the 2025 World Championship in Jeju, South Korea.

Behind the Shield Episode 1 goes inside the pressure and competition of this decisive camp, narrated by Mitchell Pehlke. Head Coach Shawn Nadelen explains the selection process, while Owen Duffy, Peter Laake, Shawn Lyght, and Anderson Moore share the personal paths that led them there.

Behind the Shield is a seven-episode documentary series following the U.S. Men’s U20 National Team on the road to the 2025 World Championship.

New episodes release Mondays and Thursdays at noon.
