Tigers All-Star & Gold Glove Catcher Dillon Dingler's MLB Journey & How Family Kept Him Grounded

Get to know Tigers catcher Dillon Dingler in this special feature presented by @Rocket.

From playing college baseball at Ohio State to his journey through the minor leagues and his now All-Star caliber seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Dillon Dingler has always had his family's support to keep him grounded. Both of Dingler's parents were college athletes and his siblings played sports as well, developing his love of sports at an early age at home in Ohio. His wife Alyssa has been by his side since 2019 through his minor league journey and eventual MLB debut in 2024. Since then, Dingler has showcased his on-field talent behind the dish for the Tigers, earning back-to-back Gold Glove honors and an All-Star appearance in 2026. But becoming a dad in January of this year to his son Frankie gave him a whole new perspective on life and the game.

"Trying to find those things that keep you grounded, whether that be hobbies or hanging out with family, I do think finding those things help drive you throughout the season."
