Mental Health Awareness Month Panel | Inter Miami CF X Café Bustelo

As we head into Mental Health Awareness Month, we partnered with Café Bustelo to bring our community at FIU together for our third edition of Conversations with Cafecito—a meaningful space to reflect on mental health.

Joined by our players Alexander Shaw and David Ruiz, the panel was led by Dr. Jeremy W. Pettit, Executive Director of the Center for Children and Families at Florida International University, and moderated by Dr. Kristin A. Nichols, Program Director of Professional Counseling Psychology in the Department of Psychology at FIU.

Together, they created space to reflect, share perspectives, and highlight the importance of taking care of our mental well-being, on and off the pitch. A reminder to check in on yourself—and each other.
