Back-to-back PGA Tour Wins, a WILD finish in Bermuda & Mexico Preview | The Drop

This week on The Drop we react to an exciting Monday finish at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, as Austin Smotherman won his second straight start on the PGA Tour on the third playoff hole. We examine how Smotherman’s career has drastically changed in the last month as a result of his two wins, how the event being cut to 54 holes impacted players pursuing status for 2027 and beyond – and what players do when they are waiting out an entire day of weather delays. We will also preview this week’s VidantaWorld Mexico Open and how the shortened week will impact players arriving from Bermuda compared to the players who arrived in Mexico after taking the week off. It is Halloween week, so our hosts get in the holiday spirit with a game of Trick or Treat… the production team picked some shots from tournament play that had a really great result or a really bad one – and Matt and Hailey have to guess whether the shot turns out to be a trick or a treat.
