Week 6 QB rankings and QB tiers: Ian Hartitz ranks his top 28 quarterbacks for Week 6 of fantasy football (28, with the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings on bye) and sorts them into four tiers. Jordan Love is the QB3 with the gold medal for the best on-paper matchup of the week against the Cowboys, Bryce Young is the QB7 because Ian is sticking with the hot hand, and Bo Nix is all the way down at QB26. After every tier Ian stops for a bigger question about the position.

TIER 1: THE BIG SIX
Josh Allen, Brock Purdy, Jordan Love, Drake Maye, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford.
Key question: what are the most fantasy-friendly QB matchups on paper this week? Using rbsdm.com's EPA allowed per dropback and per rush: Brock Purdy vs. the Commanders, Jordan Love vs. the Cowboys, Matthew Stafford vs. the Cardinals, Jameis Winston vs. the Saints, Kirk Cousins vs. the Bills and Daniel Jones vs. the Titans.

TIER 2: QB1S TO FEEL PRETTY GOOD ABOUT
Bryce Young, Jayden Daniels, Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, C.J. Stroud, Caleb Williams, Tyler Shough.
Key question: who has the best matchups at the line of scrimmage? All day to throw: Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones and Cam Ward. Poised for the most pressure: Jalen Hurts, Justin Herbert, Bo Nix and Sam Darnold.

TIER 3: THE UNCS (AND MICHAEL PENIX)
Jameis Winston, Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, Jacoby Brissett, Jalen Hurts, Tyler Huntley, Michael Penix, Sam Darnold.
Key question: who has the best and worst supporting casts? A new ranking built from blocking, rushing, receiving and coaching: the Lions, Rams, 49ers and Chiefs lead the league, and the Giants are dead last.

TIER 4: OUTSIDE THE CIRCLE OF TRUST
Daniel Jones, Deshaun Watson, Geno Smith, Justin Herbert, Bo Nix, Jalon Daniels, Cam Ward.
Key question: who should you scoop up for bye weeks? Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Geno Smith and Jameis Winston are all 37% rostered or less on Yahoo.
