Pirates Beat Tigers, Finish 2026 With Winning Record

The Pittsburgh Pirates close out the 2026 season with a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers, finishing the year 82-80 and above .500.

Jared Jones capped off his season with four strong innings and continued an impressive finish to his return year. Konnor Griffin opened the game with a home run and finished 2-for-4, while Billy Cook delivered a big RBI in a rare start. Lake Bachar and Mason Montgomery helped shut the door late as the Pirates secured one final win.
