Simone Manuel: "200 #2 for the season at 1:56.6, I really can't complain"

Simone Manuel had quite a showing at the 2025 US Open in Austin last weekend. The Olympic champion won the 100 free (53.2) and 200 free (1:56.6) and placed 2nd in the 50 free (24.4). Manuel was pleased with her win in the 200 free, noting that the altitude camp she and the Texas pro group are coming off of was quite challenging. This is Manuel's fastest 200 free since 2019 and 2nd fastest performance ever.
