Long before his two Super Bowl titles as a defensive coordinator and then his six Super Bowl victories as the head coach of the Patriots, back when Bill Belichick was just learning to the play the game of football as a kid, one of the first college head coaches he learned from was Clemson legend Frank Howard. Even if you don’t know of Howard’s coaching career - we all see one of his biggest impacts on Clemson - bringing in the rock from Death Valley that all the Tiger coaches and players touch before they run down the hill to take the field.
