Once You Learn This Technique, The Golf Swing Becomes Effortless
Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
Do bunker shots make you nervous before you’ve even started your swing?
Perhaps you’re worried about thinning the ball into the face, leaving it in the sand or hitting it far too long. The frustrating part is that you might occasionally hit a lovely bunker shot — but you’re never quite sure what you did differently.
In this lesson, I help a golfer who was struggling with exactly that problem. After one simple change, he went from fatting and thinning bunker shots to getting the ball out consistently — including from some very difficult lies.
And the solution had almost nothing to do with complicated stance positions, opening the clubface or memorising a long list of technique.
It was simply about understanding what actually gets the golf ball out of the bunker.
In this video, you’ll discover:
• The simple image that can make bunker shots feel far less intimidating
• Why trying to help the golf ball into the air can cause fats and thins
• How to use the sand to carry the ball naturally out of the bunker
• Why you don’t always need to aim your feet dramatically to the left
• How the same bunker technique works from firm sand, soft sand and downhill lies
• How changing the depth of the sand controls the height and distance of the shot
The golf ball doesn’t care what your bunker swing looks like.
It simply needs a big enough wave of sand beneath it to carry it out. Once you understand how to create that wave and push it towards the target, bunker play can become much simpler.
