What is wedge bounce? Bounce is the angle between the leading edge and trailing edge of a wedge, and it helps keep the club from digging too deeply into the turf. The amount of bounce that works best depends on both the golfer's swing and the conditions they play in.
Vokey wedge rep Aaron Dill explains why steeper swings and larger divots may benefit from more bounce, while shallower deliveries and firmer turf can call for less. Matching bounce to those factors can influence how easily the wedge moves through the ground and how much forgiveness it provides.
High, mid, and low-bounce options give golfers different ways to match a wedge to their delivery and typical playing conditions.
