Man Utd Midday News | David Ornstein Man City Relegation Warning, Pep Statement & Van de Ven

Welcome to today's midday news update on the United Community Channel. Today we cover huge developments in the ongoing Manchester City scandal, massive pundit commentary, and key Manchester United transfer news.

First up, Pep Guardiola has officially spoken out on X in defense of Manchester City, its staff, and its ownership following their guilty verdict. However, fans and pundits are quick to point out his famous past statement: "If they lied to me, I would be gone the next day." We analyze whether Pep will actually stand by those words as pressure mounts.

Next, we break down David Ornstein's appearance on The Overlap. Ornstein delivered a stark assessment of City's future, stating that given the severity of being found guilty on the charges, he cannot imagine Manchester City being allowed to remain in the Premier League if the sanction truly fits the verdict.

Finally, we turn to Old Trafford transfer news. Manchester United have reportedly shortlisted Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven as a primary target for summer 2027 as part of long-term squad planning. Meanwhile, reports confirm that both United and Bruno Fernandes have zero desire to part ways, making his continuation at Old Trafford an absolute priority.
