Carlson, the No. 31 prospect in the 2027 prep class, is also the quarterback for his high school football team. He has a strong 6-foot-3 build with a low-effort delivery, good arm action and he throws strikes with a fastball that reaches 96 mph. Carlson throws a slider, cutter and changeup. His swing-and-miss ability was on full display at the 2026 Area Code Games.
