As swim moms, our instinct is to protect our kids from every disappointment, mistake, and setback. But sometimes the greatest lessons come from experiences they have to live through themselves.

We can’t always jump in and fix it. We have to leave room for our athletes to make mistakes, face consequences, build resilience, and grow into confident, independent people.

The goal isn’t to raise kids who never fail—it’s to raise kids who know how to get back up.
