Left-handed pitcher Connelly Early has been one of the premier pitchers on the Boston Red Sox since making his debut in 2025. In 16 MLB starts, he has a 3.05 ERA with 92 strikeouts and just 27 walks allowed. Prior to the pros, Early had a very good season with the Virginia Cavaliers, which led to him getting drafted in the fifth round in 2023. He transferred to Virginia for his junior season, after two years with Army, and he tied a UVA record with 12 wins on the season. He made several All-American teams, and he was Third-Team All-ACC as he posted a 3.09 ERA with 100 strikeouts in 87.1 innings.
