Both sides went in search of a winner in the second half, but it was the Hammers who won it, thanks to Tomas Soucek’s 77th minute close-range finish and a late Kyle Walker-Peters goal. Josh Cullen pulled one back late on, but it mattered little, as the Hammers held on for a 3-2 win.
