Pitt vs. West Virginia: The Pitt Panthers lost on the road to the West Virginia Mountaineers in the hardcourt version of the "Backyard Brawl", 71-49. The Mountaineers opened the 2nd half on an 12-0 run as they pulled away from the Panthers, building an insurmountable lead. Cameron Corhen paced the Panthers with 12 points on 5-7 shooting in a losing effort. Omari Witherspoon chipped in 11 points on 5-10 shooting for Jeff Capel's club.
