The Spurs figured out the formula: stay home on Caruso, make SGA earn it one on one, and suddenly OKC's offense looks a lot more mortal.
The problem is OKC doesn't really run sets for Shay. It's spread the floor, give him the ball, and let him go. That's worked well enough to win more games than anyone over the last few years, but when a team takes away the help rotation and forces him into pure isolation creation, you start to see the limits.
OKC is going to have to answer with more off-ball actions and team-wide movement to get Shay easier looks. They're one of the best adjusting teams in the league, so I expect them to have counters ready. But the Spurs found something real here. #shorts
