FALCONS SQUAD SHOW: Michael Penix Jr. has the WORST game of his NFL career

Atlanta Falcons unravel in a disastrous shutout as Michael Penix Jr. suffers the worst game of his NFL career. Four interceptions, missed throws, and negative passing yards leave fans and analysts questioning his future as Atlanta’s signal-caller. Can Penix rebound against Cincinnati, or is a shakeup under center looming?

The conversation focused on the Falcons’ offensive collapse, including questionable play-calling from Tommy Rees and lackluster performances across the offensive line. A key theme that emerged was the defense holding firm early—Jesse Bates III’s heroics among the few bright spots—before being overwhelmed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ relentless ground attack. Special teams struggles, with Nick Folk’s missed field goal proving costly, and concerns about run defense personnel ignite debate about urgent changes needed before a daunting stretch against the Bengals and Chiefs. Has Atlanta’s playoff push already stalled, or is there time for a turnaround?
