F1's easily forgotten driver mess needs resolving
Alpine's last in the championship, finished the first half of F1 2025 with an awful performance in Hungary and then had a heavy crash during the summer break in a tyre test. And it's still not clear whether ditching Jack Doohan for Franco Colapinto made any difference.
In reality both Doohan and Colapinto are victims of a messy situation that's not giving anyone a proper chance to thrive - and which needs a clear resolution for the rest of the season.
