Why didn’t Texas receive a SINGLE first place vote in the College Football Preseason Top 25?

Last week, Andy & Ari had Texas as their number one team in the preseason poll. This week, the AP released its version of the poll with a different look. As the Big Ten claimed the first two spots, not one SEC team received a first place vote, including the Texas Longhorns. Is this warranted? Should at least one SEC team gotten a first place vote?
