The Phillies not only enjoyed another late-inning comeback on Sunday in New York, but they moved within three games of the Braves in the NL East.
The Phils were 9-19 and 10 ½ games behind the Braves on April 26, which was Rob Thomson’s final game as manager. FanGraphs gave the Phils just a 6.9 percent chance to win the division. But they woke up on Monday 47-37 with a 33.2 percent chance to win the division. Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Brandon Marsh continue to lead the way offensively.
