Behind the Braves Podcast | Mastodon

Mastodon’s Troy Sanders and Brann Dailor join Behind the Braves for a wide-ranging conversation about music, baseball and their deep connection to Atlanta.

Troy and Brann discuss the creative process behind Mastodon’s new album, Marrow Deep, the band’s desire to continue exploring new sounds more than 25 years into their career, and what it means to represent Atlanta around the world. They also look back on the unforgettable experience of performing at Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s historic “Back to the Beginning” concert and share stories about meeting and touring with some of their musical heroes.

Plus, the guys dive into their Braves fandom — from Troy growing up going to games with his family and discovering that Dale Murphy lived nearby, to Brann adopting the Braves after moving to Atlanta and celebrating the 2021 World Series championship with his neighborhood. They also talk Hank Aaron, Thin Lizzy, band chemistry, their dream baseball walk-up songs and much more!
