Linebacker tops the list. While the Bengals have invested draft capital in the position over the past two years, relying heavily on young players can be risky. If the coaching staff isn't satisfied with the depth behind the projected starters or if injuries become an issue, bringing in a proven veteran could provide stability and leadership. It's a position where teams frequently look for experienced players late in the offseason, especially after roster cuts around the league.

The offensive line is another area to watch closely. Cincinnati has made a concerted effort to improve the protection in front of Joe Burrow, but offensive line depth is always tested during training camp. Injuries are common, and if the Bengals feel the reserve group isn't ready to handle meaningful snaps, a veteran tackle or guard could quickly become a target. The Bengals don't need a splashy signing, but training camp has a way of exposing roster weaknesses. If Cincinnati makes a move before Week 1, linebacker, offensive line and wide receiver appear to be the three positions most likely to receive reinforcement.
