At just 18 years old, Kenya's Faith Kipyegon made her Olympic debut at London 2012, competing in the 1,500m event. While she didn't advance to the finals this time, she ran a 4:08.78 in her heat, ultimately placing 16th overall. She went on to claim gold medals at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
