POV: You have kids in both age groups… so “all-day meet” somehow turned into an entire weekend. 😭🏊‍♀️

I’ve watched approximately 7,462 races, refreshed Meet Mobile 893 times, bought $47 worth of concession stand food, carried enough bags to qualify as a pack mule, and I’m pretty sure I’ve inhaled enough chlorine to open my own pool.

I’ve heard:
🗣️ “Mom, where are my goggles?”
🗣️ “Mom, when do I swim?”
🗣️ “Mom, can I get food?”
🗣️ “Mom, can we stay and watch my friends?”

…more times than I can count.

At this point, if someone asks me what heat we’re on, I’m just going to start crying. 😂

People think swim meets are just a few races.

Parents with kids in multiple age groups know it’s actually a 48-hour endurance event where the only medal you win is finally getting to leave the parking lot.

So if you see me walking to my car after the last session… no, I’m not ignoring you.

I’m conserving what little energy I have left to make it home, peel off my chlorine-soaked clothes, collapse on the couch, and pretend tomorrow doesn’t exist.
