The score was opened by a mistake in Ilya Kazachenkov's attack. The next unsuccessful moment cost Lokomotiv another lost point – 2:0. The guests came back with a block, and Omar Kurbanov took them ahead – 3:4. Yaroslav Podlesnykh and Mohamed Al Hachdadi returned the lead to Belogorye – 6:5, which the Lions did not miss. The Moroccan made it 8:6. And when the hosts did not allow Ilyas Kurkaev to score twice in a row, Podlesnykh added another ball – 10:7. Kazachenkov and Kurbanov were at the forefront of Lokomotiv. The Novosibirsk setter is generally successful in matches against Belogorye, and the Belgorodians rarely manage to cope with him. In this particular match, he scored points with high efficiency. Kazachenkov made no more mistakes. On the other side of the net, Podlesnykh and Al Hachdadi were scoring points. Georgy Zabolotnikov increased the gap to 13:9. The Belgorodians started the next set powerfully. Kurbanov made his first mistake, hitting an out – 6:2. Then he was caught on the net by Roman Poroshin – 8:4. Poroshin saved the Lions three times (!) in defense, and Podlesnykh made it 21:18. The decisive balls were scored by the captain. Mohamed Al Hachdadi became the most productive player of the match, scoring 14 points. Yaroslav Podlesnykh scored 13 points. Pavel Tetyukhin scored 12 points. Omar Kurbanov and Ilya Kazachenkov from Novosibirsk also scored 12 points.

Now Belogorye and Lokomotiv are returning to Novosibirsk to play the third and decisive match of the quarterfinals on March 31.
