The World Forgot Him in the 400m, But Now He's Back and Better | Christopher Morales Williams
Running
Christopher Morales-Williams of Canada is the newly crowned 2026 World Indoor Champion in the 400m. He is also the 2024 NCAA indoor and outdoor champion in the 400m while competing for the university of Georgia.
Back in 2024, Chris ran an indoor personal best time of 44.52 seconds, which stands as the fastest indoor 400m time in history. He has had the opportunity to represent Canada at the Olympics and World Championships, and at 21 years old, his career is barely just getting started. After sickness in 2025 kept him from performing to the best of his ability, he kicked off 2026 with a gold medal and a clear outlook on his future.
