Tayte needed more distance off the tee, so we ran him through a full driver fitting to find a faster head and shaft combo.
We baselined his gamer — a TaylorMade Qi10 Max with a Ventus Blue 6X — then worked through the TaylorMade Qi4d, Titleist GTS2, Titleist GTS3, and Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond Max.
Stick around for the head-to-head at the end: 5 shots each, old setup vs new, and a 19-yard gap.
Tayte was finding himself hitting long irons into greens far too often, so the goal of this fitting was simple — more distance off the tee so he can attack greens with shorter clubs. Trevor and Tim take him through the studio, starting with baseline numbers on his current Qi10 Max, then moving through head and shaft combinations from TaylorMade, Titleist, and Callaway. He ended up in the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond Max with a Ventus Black TR 6S. If you're a mid-handicap golfer wondering whether a driver fitting is actually worth it, or how much of the gain comes from the head versus the shaft, this one is for you.
