The opening set was one of the most dramatic of the tournament, with both teams saving and creating multiple set points before Indonesia finally prevailed 34-32. Winning the marathon first set gave Indonesia all the momentum they needed for the rest of the match.

Indonesia dominated the second set with aggressive serving, excellent blocking, and a well-balanced offense directed by setter Alfin Daniel Pratama, cruising to a 25-16 victory. Korea responded with a stronger performance in the third set, but Indonesia stayed composed during the closing rallies to secure a 25-23 win and complete a memorable straight-set victory.

The result was especially remarkable because Korea had defeated Indonesia 3-0 during the pool stage earlier in the tournament. Indonesia's incredible improvement throughout the competition allowed them to turn the tables when the championship was on the line.

Boy Arnez Arabi led Indonesia with 17 points, including four service aces, and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after another outstanding performance. Korea's Hojin Shin once again led his team's offense and finished the tournament as the Best Opposite.

Indonesia's championship run included victories over Qatar, Thailand, Oman, India in a thrilling five-set semifinal, and finally Korea in the championship match. Korea reached the final after defeating defending champions Bahrain in the semifinals and earned the best AVC Men's Cup finish in the nation's history with the silver medal.
