A.J. Brown on Trash Talking Christian Gonzalez | Patriots Training Camp

FOXBOROUGH --- Patriots Star WR A.J. Brown spoke to Patriots media following the end of Patriots Training Camp on Day 12. Brown was asked about the matchup he has faced going up against CB Christian Gonzalez every day at practice. Brown gave some insight on what it has been like going up against the fellow star CB.

A.J. Brown on potential trash talk Christian Gonzalez might be hearing at practice:

“I actually talk to myself, so he may hear me talking to myself and he may take it like I’m talking to him…We’re teammates at the end of the day and we’re just competing.”

A.J. Brown on where Christian Gonzalez ranks among best Cornerbacks in NFL:

“He's definitely at the top of the list…He's been very talented, he's been growing each and every year.”

A.J. Brown on going up against Christian Gonzalez and if it has set the tone at practice:

“With us going at it each and every day…When you step out there, you know anybody can get it…And I think that's the the mentality.”

Outside of talking about the battles with Christian Gonzalez, Brown also gave some insight on the Patriots offense and what it has been like learning it so far.

A.J. Brown on learning the Patriots offense & how complex it is:

“This offense is very complex you know and that's a good thing…A lot more thinking, you know it's not just sitting over there and you got your route…like the defense come you gotta adjust, you gotta like the routes and everything…I can't really get into too much.”
