The concerns emerging for Newey’s Aston Martin-Honda F1 superteam already

F1 has a new would-be superteam getting ready for 2026 - but there are reasons to be worried it could start in an underwhelming way. On paper, there is no better set of ingredients than Adrian Newey given free reign to design a car for a major rules overhaul, a car that will be powered by a new works engine from a super successful established manufacturer in Honda, and driven by one of the greatest world champions ever in Fernando Alonso. But F1 championships aren’t won on paper and there are worries emerging for Newey’s mega new project already.
