I have met so many amazing people, played many amazing matches, filmed so many epic videos and most importantly, learned so much about myself. Becoming a pro tennis player is hard at the best of times, not only from a physical and mental sense, but also affording to play in the first place. The system is stacked against you and only those fortunate enough to be able to try find out if they have what it takes. Thats why first off I count myself lucky I even get to be in this position of chasing my dream. But creating content and building a business alongside becoming a player is tough , especially when the training setup, tournament schedule, and coaching support just don't match what is required to get results. This isn't about quitting my journey. This is about understanding that it takes time and to not rush results, the process is important, and I am on my own path. One that requires me to keep building to invest in myself, one that might take longer than others, one with bigger ups and downs. Im ok with that journey. And so that's why going forward the series will be called Road To Pro to signify that all elements of my journey no matter the level of the event or practice session all matter in the bigger picture of chasing my goal, and not just a ranking next to my name. Finally, I don't want you to think this is the end—quite the opposite. This is just the beginning. This video is a commitment to myself to make big strides toward making a change, as hard as it is.
