Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina: In a very entertaining game in the quarterfinals of the 2026 ACC Baseball Championship, the No. 2 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels got past the No. 7 seeded Virginia Tech Hokies, 10-4. The Tar Heels broke things open by scoring 4 runs in the 8th inning behind a Gavin Gallaher RBI triple, Owen Hull seeing-eye RBI single and a Macon Winslow 2-run home run. For the game, Jake Schaffner went 2-3 with 4 RBI and a run scored, Hull finished with 3 RBI and Colin Hynek was 2-3 with 3 runs scored. Scott Forbes got productive games from two of his star pitchers with Jason Decaro and Caden Glauber combining for just 9 hits and 4 runs in the win. Glauber pitched 5.2 innings in relief. Giving up just 1 run on 3 hits with 6 strikeouts. Ethan Bell hit a mammoth home run in the fifth inning, marking his 3rd long ball of the tournament which tied a program record for most home runs by a Hokie at the ACC Baseball Championship.
