Stanford vs. Louisville Game Highlights | 2026 ACC Softball Championship (Quarterfinals)

Stanford vs. Louisville: The No. 4 seeded Stanford Cardinal got late-game heroics from River Mahler as she delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly to win a hard-fought battle against the No. 5 Louisville Cardinals, 6-5 in eight innings in the quarterfinals of the 2026 ACC Softball Championship. Bri Despines got the scoring started for the Cardinals with a 2-run home run in the top of the first before the Cardinal answered in the bottom of the inning with back-to-back doubles and 2 errors that led to 4 runs. Despines homered again in the 3rd to cut into the deficit before Madison Pickens followed suit with a long ball of her own to tie the game at 4 after 3 innings. Sydney Boulaphinh broke the tie in the bottom of the 3rd by drawing a bases loaded walk, but Stanford returned the favor in the top of the 7th when Camryn Lookadoo drew a bases-loaded walk to even the score at 5, leading to extra innings. Boulaphinh singled to lead off the bottom of the eighth, followed by a Kyra Chan single before Taryn Kern walked to load the bases to set up Mahler's heroics.
