I Survived the 2026 Squamish Enduro… Barely

Weekend 2 of trying to race enduros sees me take on the short course for the 2026 Squamish Enduro race. Kind of stoked that the full course sold out when I made the purchase because I was gassed after 4 stages that took us around the Alice Lake and Diamond Head area. Huge props to all the brothers and sisters for taking on the full course, what an achievement.

My overall day comprised of 33kms and 1,292m elevation gain over a 4 hour period. Everything was going well until I had an RKO out of no where on stage 3 and lost a little motivation to carry on. Especially considering I couldn't pedal my bike as I'd bent the pedal axel #ENDUROOOO!

Nonetheless, we prevailed and survived the day with no serious injuries. My results were as follows;

Race Result -
• 30th out of 84 (Open Male 21-34)
• Total Time: 16:08.72
• Winning Category Time: 13:51.20 (Krystof Jetmar)
• Winning Overall Time: 13:36.66 (Sam Hugo)

A huge shoutout to 'SORCA | Squamish Off Road Cycling Association', the volunteers and the event watchers for making this another 10/10 riding bikes. The organization of these events is such a colossal effort and it all runs very well.
