Gabe Jett on Solely Training for LCM 200s: "For the first time, I am particularly focused"
Swimming
At the Pro Swim in Westmont, Gabe Jett continued his strong season in the 200 Fly, winning by a healthy margin in 1:55.0. He also got 2nd in the 200 free, touching at 1:45.54, just .01 behind winner Chris Guiliano.
The Cal pro said that for the first time in his career, he can focus his training just on 1-2 events instead of being prepared to swim any myriad of races his college team might need him to. Jett likes this specificity and is looking forward to honing his 200 Free/Fly overseas this spring, planning to compete at the Stockholm Open (April 9-12) as well as the Mare Nostrum Tour (May 23-31).
