I Played the First Hole of Every LA Muni in One Day

Can you play the first hole of every municipal golf course in Los Angeles... in a single day?

With no tee times booked, over 100 miles of driving ahead of us, and LA traffic working against us, Jimmy and I set out on what might be the craziest municipal golf challenge we've ever attempted.

The mission was simple: play the opening hole at all 18 municipal golf courses in Los Angeles before the sun went down. The reality? Convincing pro shops to squeeze us in, sprinting between greens and parking lots, racing across the city in our rally car, and hoping the clock never caught up with us.

Along the way we met golfers from every walk of life, learned the history behind LA's legendary muni courses, and were reminded why public golf is so special. Every first tee had a different story, and every stop felt like discovering another piece of Los Angeles golf culture.
