Yared Nuguse ran 3:48.21 at the Oslo Bislett Games Dream Mile for but finished second in a photo finish to Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot, who ran the identical time. Cam Myers was third in 3:48.35, and the top 10 in the field all finished inside 3:50.
It was the first race of Nuguse's 2026 season he didn't win.
